I REFER to the letter from Patrick Mullee (Warrington Guardian, July 23) regarding the problem of cyclists.
Sadly I have to agree with him.
The conduct of some of the cyclists on our roads leaves a lot to be desired.
Mr Mullee is right, cyclists ignore red traffic lights more often than motorists.
Too many times I am waiting at a red light to see a cyclist weave between the stationary traffic to get at the front of the queue and ride through the red traffic light before the traffic light phasing has completed.
Similarly on two lane carriageways they are inconsiderate to other road users by riding two abreast so they can have a chat on their way.
I don’t think that follows the Highway Code.
The speed of some of the road cyclists has to be highlighted as some of the speeds of these cycles is unbelievable.
A lot of cyclists are breaking the speed limits.
Its about time the police had a clampdown on these inconsiderate law breaking cyclists.
