Reassurance over waste

2:10pm Thursday 9th October 2008

IN his letter, ‘Who gets waste cash’ published in the October 2 edition of the Guardian, Gary Bebbington asks a number of very good questions, indeed they were ones that I asked at the full council meeting on September 8, at the same time that the documentary Mr Bebbington refers to, was being broadcast.

Thank you

2:11pm Thursday 9th October 2008

ON September 4 you published a letter asking for my old friends from 43 years ago to get in touch.

Full marks for Halton

2:05pm Thursday 9th October 2008

THE superbug MRSA situation at Warrington Hospital does not surprise me one little bit and it is a wonder that more patients do not contract the bug.

Overdue but most sincere

2:06pm Thursday 9th October 2008

I WAS taken ill on the night of July 17 and phoned for an ambulance at 6am on July 18. The ambulance came quickly and the paramedics were excellent. The staff worked through Friday and into Saturday, hoping to avoid operating on me, but despite their best efforts, I had to have major surgery on the evening of July 19.

Prison solves no problems

2:07pm Thursday 9th October 2008

I WOULD like to express my deep concern about the possibility of a ‘super prison’ being built in our town.

Pedestrians v cycles

2:08pm Thursday 9th October 2008

WHILE walking through Horsemarket Street recently, I had an encounter with a cycle rider.

Humanity defies belief

2:08pm Thursday 9th October 2008

I WOULD like to thank the truly magnificent staff at Warrington Hospital.

Leave Lee Briers alone

2:09pm Thursday 9th October 2008

I AM totally outraged by the comments made and personal attacks on Lee Briers by Mr Mannion and Mr Logan.

Councillors speak up

2:09pm Thursday 9th October 2008

REGARDING the proposed Titan prison for Warrington – No, no, no.

Thanks for all your help

1:12pm Thursday 2nd October 2008

I WOULD like to thank the members of the security staff and the first aider (I think her name was Rachel), and also two members of the public, who helped to carry me down the stone staircase (I am no lightweight), when I was suddenly taken ill on Friday, September 12, in the Golden Square shopping centre.
