Animal sex videos found on Elaine Igoe's work laptop

Elaine Igoe, from Orford, was found with 20 sick pornographic videos showing sexual acts being performed by people on horses and dogs when a co-worker was installing software on her computer.

And on Friday, May 4, she was handed 100 hours of unpaid work by magistrates following her ‘fall from grace’.

Warrington Magistrates Court heard that a colleague of Igoe’s used her work laptop in order to install software on it in January last year.

While carrying out this task, the IT worker began to type into her Google Chrome web browser.

But after typing the letter ‘A’ into a search engine, her computer’s autocomplete brought up a number of searches relating to pornography showing bestiality.

After an internal investigation, searches of the 49-year-old’s laptop found it contained 19 videos of women performing sexual acts with horses and dogs as well as one of a man engaged in an acts with a dog.

Microsoft Word documents on the computer also contained a list of website addresses relating to pornography featuring animals.

The court heard that Igoe, of Park Road, had ‘suffered a fall from grace’ having previously been a ‘valued employee’ at the company for 25 years.

She ‘expressed remorse’ for her actions – of which she was described as being ‘ashamed’ – and admitted one count of possession of extreme pornographic images.

Igoe, who had no previous convictions, is now on benefits but hopes to become a ‘useful and productive’ member of society again.

Magistrates handed her a 12-month community order, including a 25-day rehabilitation activity requirement.

She was also ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work as well as to pay £85 in court costs plus an £85 victim surcharge, to be deducted from her benefits.
