FIREFIGHTERS were called to a road traffic collision between two cars on the M62 eastbound yesterday, Monday.
It happened between junction 10 at Croft and junction 11 at Birchwood at around 5pm.
Cutting equipment was used to remove one casualty from their vehicle while another was helped out of their car.
A female in her late 20s suffering from major trauma was taken to Salford Royal Hospital.
The other casualty was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary.
Crews were in attendance for an hour and 40 minutes with diversions in place to clear the traffic.
