Biography submitted by Exile Parade.
EXILE Parade have been in the studio twice with producer Owen Morris (Oasis, The Verve, The View) and have 10 tracks recorded.
Dutch Indie label Suburban Records was the first label to sign the band late last year, that deal covers France, Benelux, and Scandinavia only.
The first single 'Fire Walk With Me' released in April gained significant radio support in Europe with leading stations 3VOOR12 Holland, Studio Brussels and Oui FM - Paris playlisting Fire Walk
With Me and making it Single of the week.
Exile Parade have recently played high profile European Festivals; London Calling at Paradiso in Amsterdam in April and Beeckestijn Festival near Haarlem in June; local newspaper Haarlem Dagblad
wrote after the gig "The band sounded very tight with a huge sound; typically a band where you can say in a couple of years time just like Radiohead when they played the Beeckestijn Festival in
1993 - I was there!".
A second single in Holland and mini tour are expected later in the year.
We have received early radio support in the UK from Jim Gellalty - XFM Scotland, BBC Manchester Music, Conrad Murray - 96.2 The Revolution and other north west regional stations.
Two key Radio DJ's in the states; Sat Bisla (Indie 103.1) and Jed The Fish (KROQ) are also big supporters of the band and have played the band numerous times on their shows. Fire Walk With Me has
recently been playlisted on KFRQ in Texas for regular rotation. All the US airplay resulted in the band recently breaking into the top 100 active rock mediabase radio chart.
Fire Walk With Me was on the "Skins" Series 1 DVD soundtrack & Love Disco was used in an Andy Dick directed film starring Ben Stiller and Jack Black.
“Recently I have been in Real World Studio with Exile Parade from Warrington. Best rock and roll I’ve had the honour and pleasure of being involved with since Oasis ’ first album. Stunning, evil
music.” (Producer Owen Morris - Oasis/The Verve/The View)
“I have never been more sure this band is going to be huge! Great melodies making every song a potential hit single, but always with a raw and ‘cocky’ rock ‘n roll feel” (Ronald Drayer - Suburban
Records Managing Director)
“This band is the “dogs b*****ks” of rock, absolutely brilliant. They’re unsigned right now but destined to be massive.” (Sat Bisla - A&R Worldwide President - Passport Approved DJ/Indie 103.1
"They sound like Oasis but with bigger testicles" (Jed the Fish - KROQ Los Angeles)
"The most promising band to emerge in the last five years" (Mick Middles - Author of Joy Division" to "New Order": The True Story of Anthony H.Wilson and Factory Records)
"Exile Parade are a driving indie rock five piece who manage to take all the best bits of the Verve, Queens Of The Stone Age and Oasis and channel them into one feral whole."
"Lomax’s vocal is as raw and powerful as they come, this, coupled with the dirty, blues-like rock n’roll of the music all adds up to quite an exciting proposition." (High Voltage)
"Well worth a listen if you like your rock with the best of the 60s influences (Kinks, The Who and Rolling Stones etc. but with a bang up to date sound. LOVED IT" (www.thebeatsurrender.co.uk)
