WARRINGTON Wolves fans have mixed views on whether or not a team's current form counts when heading into a Challenge Cup semi-final.

It's certainly a talking point, with The Wire losing four of their past six Super League matches since the last round of the Challenge Cup took place.

Here's what fans have been saying on our Warrington Wolves-Warrington Guardian Facebook page:

Ray Tickle: Before previous semi finals we've had massive scores put on us by , London and Salford and those teams were the Morley , Briers , Monaghan teams .. .. The last few weeks have no bearing on this team .. Saturday is the time to judge .. if we dish up the same type of performance that we have been doing then thats worrying …. But I think we're gonna see a performance this week ……

Syd Cull: Form means nothing in a one off game as we found out in the semi final loss to HKR

What we need is confidence to win and believe we have it

John Knox: Yes and its season over with the board backing this lacklustre coach who àint rated in the nrl...

Lee Chambers: Q: ‘Fancy showing up this week’?

Gary Rudd: Depends how much CCF win bonus Simon Moran and Stuart Middleton have put in the table

Gary Pope: Cup games, anything can happen

Brian Carney: For me it would be nice for fans confidence going into the game on the back of good league form, but a cup game is a one off and we have shown in recent times that we can get up for a semi final one off game.

Sheila Hulme: This is a one of game anything can happen I’m not giving up on them x

Ste Rutter: Seeing as tho Hull are making steady progress towards the business end, the answer to your question is yes it does count.

Martyn Toft: Form helps but it’s a one off game, anything can happen, look what we did to Saints last year in the play off semi. Maria Blanchard: It’s knockout rugby and form counts for nothing as you have to raise you’re game play
