Wire head coach Steve Price answers a few questions from Guardian sports reporter Matt Turner...

MT: First of all, would you mind explaining the situation behind recalling Luis Johnson and Harvey Livett from Hull KR?

SP: They’re Warrington Wolves players and they are contracted to us.

In saying that, we had a couple of guys who went down in training during last week.

With that in mind, I thought the timing was right to bring them back.

MT: Performances haven’t been great of late so with that in mind, is this a bad time for a Challenge Cup semi-final?

SP: You’re always going to have peaks and troughs. When the seasons are as long as they are, you’re going to hit a few speed bumps.

It is what it is – a new competition starts this weekend and we’ve been really good in the Challenge Cup through the early rounds.

We’ve got a really good opportunity to turn it around this weekend.

MT: Fans are clearly concerned about recent games, with Castleford being the latest. Are you?

SP: I’m not concerned because I know what kind of footy team I have.

We know what we need to do – it’s just a matter of going out there and doing it.

Whenever you’re making 16 errors in a game of rugby league, you’re never going to give yourself a chance.

For three quarters of the game, we were dishing up that kind of play but we were still in front.

MT: A few of the players were spotted arguing with each other at Castleford. What do you make of that?

SP: They’re passionate. They care about each other and they are being honest with each other.
