THE game may be more than two weeks away, but The Wire will not have to worry about one of St Helens' key men when they meet on June 28.

Skipper James Roby will undergo surgery to correct a groin issue which will rule him out of the meeting at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Speaking after their surprise defeat to London Broncos yesterday, Saints head coach Justin Holbrook confirmed the England hooker would be going under the knife.

He said: “Robes has been struggling for a few weeks so will go in for some minor surgery this week so will be missing for four weeks."
