WARRINGTON Wolves' title rivals St Helens have lost today for only the second time this season.
Justin Holbrook's men were beaten 23-22 by London Broncos at the Trailfinders Sports Complex in Ealing.
It means, with second-placed Wire winning against Catalans Dragons yesterday, that the gap to the leaders has been cut to four points.
Saints lost to London on Golden Point after 80 minutes left the sides all square at 22-22.
Thee visitors thought they had rescued it when Regan Grace scored and Danny Richardson converted to level going into the last two minutes.
But an error in Golden Point allowed London the chance to take it.
Saints had led 12-0 at one stage in the first half.
Meanwhile, a drop goal in the 78th minute at KCOM Craven Park from Wigan's Sam Powell sunk Hull KR 19-18, sending Tony Smith to a loss in his first game in charge of the Robins.
