Christmas is almost upon us. As the festive spirit slowly builds in Warrington, we thought we would round up a complete list of Christmas events in Warrington this year.

Christmas at Arley Hall

From 10am to 4pm on December 2 to December 6, Arley Hall will be decorated with foliage from the gardens and sprinkling of fresh flowers.

There will also be wreath making session with Arley’s head gardener on December 3 to December 5. The sessions will take place at 10am and 2pm and pre-booking is essential.

Jonathan Moseley will be provided floral demonstrations on December 7 and December 8 at 11am and 2pm. Pre booking is essential for this event also.

December 9 will see an ‘indulgent’ champagne afternoon tea in the hall.

The hall will be decorated for Christmas with the fires lit and a pianist playing. It will take place from 12pm to 3pm and pre-booking is essential.

‘Christmas in the Square’ will be under way from December 3 - 23 with huts under the Old Market place.

As well as bratwursts, Yorkshire pudding wraps, and more sweet treats from White Lace Bakery will be able to be bought.

And Santa will be visiting too. He will be in the mall twice a day from December 18 – 23.

Creative Christmas, Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Peace Foundation

This Christmas, Creative HUT and the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Peace Foundation, bring you a Creative Christmas in Great Sankey.

The event will include many fun-filled Creative & STEAM activities for you and your family for free. They will be hosting a series of construction experiences with LEGO bricks and robotics workshops designed to encourage children to ‘ignite’ creativity through play.

The events take place on December 4, 11 and 18 between 10am and 3pm.

This is a free event for families although a donation to the Peace Centre is encouraged.

Christmas float across the town

WarringtonLions Club has revealed the itinerary for its Santa sleigh this Christmas.

The popular float will tour the town for 13 nights beginning on Saturday, December 4.

And the Lions have now revealed the designated starting points for Father Christmas on each evening, beginning with Lidl in Latchford at 4.30pm on the first date.

Christmas quiz, The Lower Angel

There will be a Christmas quiz at The Lower Angel pub on Buttermarket Street on Wednesday, December 8.

Each team is allowed a maximum of five people and there is a £200 cash prize for the winner.

May the best team win.

Afternoon Tea at Orford Community Hub

There will be a gorgeous Afternoon Tea with entertainment from singer, Gary Scot on Wednesday, December 8 2021, 12.30pm – 2.30 pm.

There will also be a raffle with lovely prizes and stand-up bingo. Come and join us for festive fun and entertainment by reserving your place.

Christmas extravaganza, Twiss Green

The Culcheth Primary School will be hosting a fair and fireworks display on Friday, December 10.

Gates open at 6.30pm.

Visitors can also enjoy rides, games, stalls and refreshments.

Dickensian Day, Lymm

A Lymm tradition will make a very welcome return next month.

After being cancelled last year due to coronavirus, applications for stalls at the Lymm Dickensian 2021 event on Saturday, December 11 are now being taken.

Santa Dash, Walton Gardens

Have some festive fun and help to raise funds for Warrington Disability Partnership by booking to take part in Santa Dash on Sunday, December 12 at Walton Hall Gardens.

You can walk, push, jog, run or even cycle the 3km route, all at your own pace The entry fee is £10 which includes a five piece Santa suit to wear whilst you take part in the challenge.

Christmas concert, St Elphin’s Church

There is a Christmas concert at St Elphin’s Church at 7.30pm on Saturday, December, 18.

Visitors can enjoy live music and get in the Christmas spirit with carols and more.

Chairman Danny Shaw said “This year is very special. We have all been looking forward to performing for so long and are working very hard to ensure we can give our audience an evening they won’t forget.”

Breakfast or lunch with Santa, High Legh Golf Club

Making up for last year’s much quieter Christmas, you can have breakfast or lunch with Santa at High Legh Golf Club.

The Santa experiences will take place in the clubhouse restaurant. Lunch with Santa takes place between 12pm and 4pm on Sunday, December 19 and includes a three-course festive menu.

If the excitement won’t wait until lunchtime, Santa is also available for breakfast on Thursday, December 23, between 9am and 12pm.
