LOOK closely, you may recognise yourself or a relative on this rare cine film footage of a schools athletics event in Warrington 57 years ago.
Cheshire Education Committee staged the Stockton Heath and District Primary Schools' Annual Athletics Festival in 1964 and Appleton parent Cecil Waller recorded some of it for posterity.
His son Mike can recall his team at Cobbs County Primary School, as it was then, winning a relay event, while his certificate shows he crossed the line third in the 90-yard flat race in the 10-11 years age group.
Mike has picked out Peter Litherland, Rodney Foulkes, Tommy Bailey, Wendy Hayes, Joyce Mottram and Lesley Smith among the children competing in the various races that can be seen in this video.
This is the latest of many cine films that lifelong Warrington Wolves fan Mike has recently made available to the Guardian from his family's collection.
He and his father also used to film snippets of action at Wire matches, a number of which are currently available to view by following this trail HERE.
