Episode 8 of an amazing new series featuring a Warrington family's previously unpublished cine film footage of Wire matches and special moments in the 1960s and 1970s
WHAT a special player former captain Parry Gordon was in Warrington Wolves' history.
We bring you this smashing cine film footage of him, courtesy of lifelong Wire fans Cecil and Mike Waller, on the day that would have been Gordon's 76th birthday - also exactly 60 years since he signed for The Wire as a 16-year-old.
You can see the pocket-sized scrum half, adored by Warrington fans and all who knew him, crossing for two tries in this video from Wire's 26-10 home win against Dewsbury on March 3, 1974, at Wilderspool Stadium.
It was a special match for Gordon as he actually scored five tries that day, with John Bevan crossing for the other one and Derek Whitehead kicking four conversions.

This was the season that Warrington won five trophies, including the Club Championship and the Challenge Cup.
Wiganer Gordon was a loyal one-club man and made an astonishing 543 appearances for the first team between October 26, 1963 and September 13, 1981.
Only Brian Bevan clocked up more appearances for the club than Gordon, who remained active with the club through the Warrington Players Association long after he hung up his boots.
Here's some great moments from Parry Gordon's Warrington days:
