WARRINGTON CCG has moved to reassure residents following reports that a town centre surgery had closed to patients this lunchtime.
A number of patients reported being asked to leave Bath Street Health and Wellbeing Centre at around 1pm.
One resident told the Warrington Guardian: "I had just walked in through the sliding doors and there was a woman in a dark blue nurse's outfit shooing me back out saying that they were having to close the building."
Another added: "I was turned away from my appointment at 11.30am.
"I was told to not go in and put my 5 month old baby in the car. Very scary."
One patient said they were in the middle of an appointment with their child when they were asked to leave the centre.
A spokesman for Warrington CCG said the facility remains open this afternoon but declined to comment any further.
