THREE men were arrested after police raided a property in the Fairfield and Howley area.

Officers executed the drugs warrant on Wednesday at 8.15am at an address on Clegge Street and found some of the drugs inside a royal wedding mug celebrating the marriage of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

A police spokesman added: "Three local men, age 26, 29 and 41 were arrested at the address on suspicion of drugs offences.

"Following enquiries the men have all been released under investigation pending further enquiries."

The 41-year-old man was arrested for attempt to possess with intent to supply a controlled Class B drug. 

The 29-year-old man was arrested for possession of a controlled Class B drug - Cannabis/cannabis resin. 

The 26-year-old man was arrested for possession with intent to supply a controlled Class B drug - Cannabis/cannabis resin.
