A YOUTH has been handed a curfew after a burglary at a bar in Penketh.
The Manna House on Warrington Road was targeted in a break-in during the early hours of Valentine’s Day.
On Wednesday, February 20, a 16-year-old boy admitted burglary at Warrington Magistrates Court in connection with the incident.
CCTV footage captured the teenager, from Padgate, smashing one of the venue's windows with a brick before climbing into the premises and breaking into the till.
He stole a set of keys before fleeing the former schoolhouse and community centre in the direction of O'Neill's hairdressers.
The teen - who cannot be named for legal reasons - also admitted a charge of theft in relation to a previous incident on Wednesday, January 23, in which he stole a sat nav, mobile phone, baseball bat and £5 cash.
His actions also put the boy in breach of a previous youth rehabilitation order made by the court in November in relation to a string of crimes - including fraud, burglary and criminal damage.
He burgled the Lockton Lane Islamic Centre in Bewsey on Sunday, November 11 - stealing cash, an iPad and iPhone valued at a total of £1,000.
On the same day, he stole an ID card and was found in possession of cannabis by police.
In July last year, the teenager also caused nearly £6,000 worth of damage to cars at Halliwell Jones BMW on Winwick Road.
That month, he also burgled Food Plus on Sankey Street in the town centre - stealing pastries worth £3 - and stole groceries valued at £50 from a Tesco Express store.

Also in July, the youth stole a wallet and bank cards - committing fraud by using one of these stolen cards.
Then, in September, he again stole a purse and bank cards.
Last week, magistrates handed the teen another youth rehabilitation order - ordering him to serve an electronically-monitored curfew from 7pm to 7am for 12 weeks.
He was also ordered to pay compensation of £252 to the January 23 theft victim.
