A DEVASTATED mum is helping her daughter fulfil a bucket list of dreams after being told she has just years to live.

Natalie Hilton, from Whitecross, was diagnosed with bulbar palsy, a motor neuron disease in December.

The healthy 28-year-old first presented with symptoms before Christmas.

Marie, Natalie's mum, said: "Her speech became slurred and at first we thought she had suffered a stroke – it developed very quickly."

On December 13, tests revealed that Natalie has bulbar palsy and the consultant told the Hilton family she could only live another year able-bodied.

Beyond that, Natalie has been given between two and four years to live.

In her final year living independently, Natalie is determined to live life to the fullest and tick off events on her bucket list.

Before her tragic diagnosis, Natalie worked full-time at a call centre in Runcorn but as the disease is progressing quickly, she has had to leave her job and is waiting for a universal credit payment.

Her mum is now trying to help raise funds to help Natalie fulfil her dreams of going abroad for the first time and doing a skydive.

Marie said: "My beautiful girl who has worked and got her own flat now cannot work. She's not married and has no children, never driven or been abroad.

"She has no boyfriend, she has three cats that will outlive her. She wants to visit family in Australia, watch a sunset in Greece and go on weekends away with individual family members to spend quality time with them."

Natalie is also determined to do a skydive with her dad.

In order to help raise money and give Natalie a year to remember, Marie is also organising fundraisers and is reaching out to some of her daughter's favourite celebrities.

She said: "IWG Customs has donated a pack of different T-shirts to raffle and Unilever is donating a hamper. Natalie Glynn has sourced vouchers for hair, massage and spa days and Dawsons Tattoo shop in Stockton Heath are kindly completing Natalie's sleeve tattoo.

"I would like to say a huge thank you to Andy Whitfield for very kindly letting us have the use of Goodwins and to Lisa D'Anza for taking time to arrange it. Comedian Frankie Allen has kindly given a free ticket for Natalie and agreed to meet her back stage and I'd like to thank my family for their support."

Natalie is also a big Tom Hardy fan and would love a signed photo from the actor.

Marie added: "While she can smile and force words out but it is all happening fast. She has severely slurred speech and her face and neck muscles are wasting away. Smiling is becoming such a struggle.

"It is really devastating, my heart is broken and life will never be the same again."
