IN the Warrington Guardian June 12 edition there was an article about the Golden Square post office.
As everyone is aware, many people have had to go into Warrington for pensions, allowances and postage since their local post offices closed.
I disagree with the person who wrote complaining about the queue at this post office. Frankly, I do not think it is so bad, and as for saying the staff should ‘get on with serving’ and not be talking about house insurance, savings etc, I think she was wrong.
The staff at the counter only mention it, don’t give a talk, and the customer is asked if they are interested and then pointed in the direction of sales personnel who will, if necessary, advise them and go into further detail.
I found this very helpful and cannot fault either the counter staff or the sales staff.
Everyone at that post office is always pleasant, courteous and very helpful.
No long faces if you ask for loose change in your pension or allowance.
I say thank you to everyone who works there.
Carry on the good work. It is a pleasure to visit Golden Square post office.
