IN reference to the letter in last week’s paper about Wilderspool Causeway (Warrington Guardian, June 14), I could not agree more.

I regularly drive along there and for one of the main thoroughfares through town, it does look an absolute mess.

There is litter left everywhere, untidy bits of grass can be seen growing through pavements and various bits of tatty looking halffinished developments stand on the highway.

But it is by no means on its own in town.

Have you been down Winwick Road lately?

What a tip.

Rubbish on both sides of the road, especially near Tesco and McDonald’s with empty packets in the bushes.

What sort of impression does it give when people come to the town?

And what sort of message does it give to people who live round there, as I do?

Very often public bins are full leaving people with the option of either taking or home or dropping it on the floor.

Sadly, too many take the easy, lazy option.

But it needs to stop.

I am fed up of driving round streets of Warrington which look a complete mess.
