I CANNOT believe there is no election in Warrington this year.
When was it agreed that we would not have a vote?
Four years without an election is simply too long to wait (Warrington Guardian, April 26).
The Labour-run council is too powerful as it is.
Now we don’t even get to have our say and try to vote someone else in?
In seems wrong to me and totally unaccountable.
Holding elections every year meant councillors could be judged on their record over the past year.
In Warrington we have seen the local plan, a mayor forced to resign and the western link.
Yet no way to exercise our democratic right?
Seems strange.
