ON the A49 from The Halliwell Jones Stadium right through to B&Q at Winwick you can purchase just about anything.
But ‘coming soon’ for the benefit of retailers, shoppers and residents thanks to WBC you are going to have a waste transfer station. Why?
Well since the closure of the tip at Arpley the council has been taking its waste to Ditton Road in Widnes which is costing them in transport.
So it’s about revenue savings v environmental impact.
From WBC’s view revenue savings wins.
But for residents, retailers and shoppers you will be having the added attraction of up to 100 extra vehicles a day entering and exiting this site opposite Alder Lane with no major road improvements, plus the added attraction of smell and vermin that will be left on site for up to 24 hours.
Not been thought through at all by WBC.
I ask the community to think of what’s ‘coming soon’ and object.
