I HAVE lived in Grappenhall for eight years and during that time I have asked or contacted various council people regarding the eyesore that is the dilapidated and dangerous old vicarage and its future, sitting as it does opposite the beautiful St Wilfrid’s Church.
Nobody seems to know why it has not been either renovated or at least made safe.
All the windows are smashed and it gives the impression that we have vandals among us.
Whoever owns this land should be ashamed of themselves for allowing the building and land to fall into such a state and inflicting it as they are onto the community.
Is there nobody who can do something about it?
St Wilfrid’s Church and the Rev Jane Proudfoot and the community do so much to keep the village alive for all.
How sad they have to look at this eyesore everyday.
I am literally praying for somebody to help or make safe this horrid building.
