NOW that more space seems to be opening in Golden Square, would it not be possible to restore the ‘Peace and Quiet Room’ to something closer to its original concept, away from the noise and fumes on the current cubby-hole in the car park?
As recent tragic events have shown, mobile phones, texting, and social media can mean bad news travels ever faster and people can be overwhelmed whenever and wherever they happen to be.
The need for a quiet place to pause, think, pray maybe, or just review their coping strategies away from the hustle and bustle seems ever more urgent.
Given the town’s history, one would like to think that Warrington Borough Council and the management of Golden Square would be sensitive to this need.
