I AGREE wholeheartedly with your concern about local consequences of HS2 (Warrington Guardian, March 9).

The HS2 line will, like the current inter city network, still become a victim of circumstances beyond its control.

Typhoon Doris recently proved that, delaying approximately 600 services nationwide. Who are they to say that we will not be affected?

It’s time that we stopped trying to get from A to B as fast as possible and work on improving what we have.

Let’s look after Britain’s green and pleasant land so that we can enjoy ourselves without being forced to forfeit it.
