PARENTS, grandparents, aunts, uncles, carers and godparents.
What do they all have in common at some point in life?
Children. A nice visit to the park for an hour or two is part of a child’s growing up experience both physically and socially.
Penketh parks offer basic play equipment only suitable for the toddler age group in Greystone Park and similarly in Withinshaw Park.
Both these parks are large enough to cater for football and rugby posts.
Look around Warrington’s other park areas. There is a huge improvement in the standard and type of equipment for all age groups of children including multisport, zip wire and exercise equipment.
We as a community should be encouraging our children out of the house and into play areas, so let’s encourage our parish councillors to focus on giving our children a good standard of parks for the whole community.
I am sure many share my view of the weed boxes along Warrington Road as a waste of public money.
