I READ James Ashington’s letter about the Labour group ‘delegating the dirty work of cutting library services’ to LiveWire (Warrington Guardian, September 22).

Perhaps it has escaped his attention the members of that group opposing the changes.

Perhaps it has also escaped his attention the Tories, and when in coalition, the LibDems delegating to local authorities and others the dirty work of dealing with the result of their cuts.

I was going to congratulate Mr Ashington of avoiding the usual UKIP cliché of dragging Europe into every subject – unfortunately he blew it in the last paragraph.
