LET’S say ‘Remain’ wins the EU Referendum and for example in the second half of this year Greece needs another bailout.

The UK is called upon to make a bigger contribution.

One of the countries waiting in the wings is Italy (40 per cent youth unemployment and a flatline growth economy since the start of the Euro).

Certainly a candidate for a bailout. Currently, we are obligated to contribute to bailouts.

A large new wave of migration from the EU into the UK follows, drawn by our good record of creating jobs.

This would be on top of higher EU migration, attracted by our national living wage.

A downturn in the fortunes of the EU countries leads to a depression and a reduced demand for UK exports, currently 12 per cent of UK exports to the EU.

There could be a sharp contraction in this figure.

At some point the Euro will self destruct. When, not if, this happens we, if we have voted to leave the EU, will be vastly better off.

We are out of the EU, we cannot be forced to take part in any bailouts.

Also we would be well on the way to setting our own immigration policy without any interference from The European Court of Justice.

We would be free to exploit growing markets outside the EU and realise our own bilateral trade deals. How about a Commonwealth free trade area?

Let’s get back into the time machine and return to the present.

Which way are you voting?
