IN what are undoubtedly difficult times for Warrington Hospital it is all too easy to forget that the people who make our NHS are the staff.

My son was admitted to the children’s ward recently to have an operation, a worrying time for us as his parents and himself.

The kind, friendly and reassuring care he received from the nurses and carer on the ward was wonderful.

That care was once again evident up in the main operating theatre, from the consultant, anaesthetist, theatre staff and porter.

These people provide the service we should be proud of and I can’t thank them enough for the valued work they do and the manner in which they do it.

IAN SEWELL
