MANY residents may have noticed a media bubble on fracking this week which may seem strange as normally there is a media vacuum around the subject.

Whats the difference? It’s the Government via the Department of environment and climate change (DECC) trying to sell more petroleum exploration and development licences PEDL.

The 14th round of sales started on July 28 and ends on October 28.

The Government even tried to spin it as a good idea that they were putting some restraint on national parks and rubbish but Eric Pickles has the veto on it all and he would frack his mum’s back garden.

To any companies thinking about buying one, don’t. It’s an emperor’s set of clothes. To companies like United Utilities, with its headquarters in Warrington, rumoured to be in talks with Cuadrilla – don’t do it.

The companies are courting you for your water.

The Government is applying untold pressure to sell these licences, if something seems too good to be true, it is.

Just this week I’ve heard radio debates on Radio 2 and 4 with only two pro-fracking spokesmen.

People are waking up to the fact that nobody has asked them about fracking, nobody had it in their manifesto.

It’s been a nightmare in America, with all kinds of problems, the Government in Australia nearly got a force of thousands of police officers together to clear Bentley camp, before they thought maybe they should listen to their citizens before going to war on them.

It’s dirty and dangerous and has no place in our country.

Just this week another camp has set up in Ellesmere, Shropshire.

People are not going to be pushed around anymore.

The Anti-Frack Warrington facebook group has more than 600 members.
