IT was interesting to read leftie stalwarts, Mr Withers and Mr Brinksman’s doom and gloom ‘fantasy world’ commentary in recent weeks.

The list of ‘good news’ which Mr Brinksman says are a load of lies are now clear as the opinion polls show a significant jump of four per cent in favour of the Conservatives to put them level with Labour.

It is pretty clear they are both out of touch with public opinion. The public know the recovery is on the way and are expressing it in the opinion polls. However there is not much to dispute in the way of facts with Tony Withers.

He is now resorting to fantasing about how he sees things in his ‘them and us’ leftie mentality, just like Miliband did when responding to the budget.

He talks about ‘little miss minimum wage’, ‘Mr Reality’, ‘Mr Disabled’, and then adds Mr Fox and Mr Edwards to his fairy story, not forgetting ‘the money trees’.

The ‘money trees’ always feature in ‘leftie’ fantasy stories. It is like borrowing, but Mr Withers doesn’t understand; the tree runs out of fruit and then what do you do?

With regard to Mr Brinksman’s comments; he goes on to quote various bodies including the Pope saying he is critical of the ‘idolatry of money’; most people don’t idolise money, like me they just realise they have to have it to exist in the world we live in. I would remind both of this when they go on about how badly this Government treats the poor: The renowned Joseph Rowntree Foundation reported ‘the gap between rich and poor widened under Labour from 1997’.

We can all find reports Mr Brinksman but at the end of the day, if Labour, instead of obsessing with the top Tories’ schooling, like Andy Burnham on Question Time, screeches ‘a budget written by public schoolboys’ and came up with some actual policies they just might stem the ‘being overtaken in the polls’ situation.
