I AM writing in response to Dave Williams’ letter in which he seems to say that all roads lead to God.

Sadly some people believe that their religion is the only true religion, and that all others are heresy and their followers doomed.

This isn’t the way God works according to the scriptures.

Those who proclaim their way as the only way are presenting a small and narrow view of God.

When you add the many ways people perceive God you realise what a vast, complex and mysterious God we worship.

Christianity is unique but it’s not exclusive.

The bible writers made it clear that God is calling out to all of us to turn to him, regardless of our religion, race or background. It’s just hard getting to him.

This is where Christ comes into the picture. He’s the easiest and fastest way to God. Jesus said that he has ‘other sheep, too, in another fold. I must bring them also.’ (John 10:16).

I don’t know to whom he was referring. It might have been people who follow other religions, or he might have been telling us that there are little green men out there. Maybe both.

So yes Dave, there may be many roads to God but I’ve always considered Christianity the M1!
