OUR town is gearing up for what may be a bumper Christmas shop with many shoppers coming from surrounding towns to enjoy the pleasure of the street and shop decorations.
What a pity then, we are still surrounding the giant Christmas tree at the top of Buttermarket Street with crowd control barriers.
The picket gates erected around the Christmas tree in the fish market are far more pleasing to the eye and less insulting to the people of Warrington.
