I am writing in response to the letter featured in The Guardian (February 14) regarding an incident with a member of the public and a guard from the Golden Square security team.

We have taken all the comments made regarding the incident onboard and have offered to speak to the family concerned to resolve any grievances they may have with our security team.

We have reviewed the CCTV footage and the incident report following the event and are satisfied that the member of staff acted in an appropriate, non-aggressive manner in this isolated incident.

Golden Square is private property and we monitor the use of photography within the centre for the safety of all our visitors.

We take the wellbeing of our customers very seriously and our staff are trained to ensure that all of our customers enjoy their shopping experience within the centre.
