SALFORD Red Devils will have King Vuniyayawa available to face Warrington Wolves on Saturday.
That is despite the Fijian prop being shown a red card during the Red Devils’ 12-4 victory over London Broncos in Round Eight.
Vuniyayawa was red-carded during the second half for a tip tackle, but this week’s Match Review Panel have not deemed the incident worthy of further punishment, meaning he will be available to head coach Paul Rowley for The Wire’s visit to the Salford Community Stadium on Saturday.
In explaining the decision, the panel minutes state: “Player lifts one leg of opponent and walks round with leg of opponent but never lifts above the hip.
“Opponent still has one leg on the ground. Opponent is being tackled in the upper body by two of player’s teammate and is twisted round and lands on his neck and shoulder.
“Player not solely responsible for the mechanics of the tackle and cannot be solely attributed to placing opponent in a dangerous position.”
No Wire players have been pulled up by this week’s panel, with Saturday’s beaten opponents Leigh Leopards also given a clean bill of disciplinary health.
