WARRINGTON Wolves' under 18s Academy team opened the season with a fine 28-10 win against a strong Salford City Reds side at Wilderspool Stadium at the weekend.

Liam Hulme, the son of former Wolves skipper Paul, scored a try in a man of the match performance, with other tries coming from Patrick O'Neill, James Mendeika, Matt Lomax, Ryan Owen and Chris Dean, while Gareth O'Brien added two conversions.
