WOLVES boss Tony Smith says his team are “hurting very badly” after their 38-16 defeat to Wigan Warriors tonight.
Wigan ran in seven tries at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, including four for teenage winger Liam Marshall, as The Wire remained rooted to the foot of the Super League table.
“We certainly didn't want a scoreline like that, particularly at half-time,” Smith said.
"We did a lot of the damage at half-time, with the penalties and errors we made.
“We're hurting at the moment, everything is having an effect on how we're playing.
"We have to toughen up on some of our decision. That will come but we know there's hurt among our supporters.
“I've got a dressing room full of boys that are hurting very badly at the moment.
"They're trying very hard but some of how we're doing it is harming us.”
