WOLVES have confirmed the departure of three out-of-contract players following the end of the Super League season.

Front row trio Ryan Bailey, Jordan Cox and Mitchell Dodds will all leave The Halliwell Jones Stadium after one year with the club after it was decided their contracts would not be renewed.

Of the three players, 31-year-old former Leeds prop Bailey made the biggest impact by appearing 15 times in primrose and blue, with the last of those coming in Saturday’s Grand Final defeat to Wigan.

Cox arrived from Hull KR during the off-season and impressed many with his barnstorming runs through the middle when coming off the bench, but the 24-year-old suffered a number of concussions and featured just once after being floored by two punches from former teammate James Green during the 16-16 draw against the Robins on July 1.

Australian Dodds suffered the misfortune of a double leg break during the 30-20 win at Catalans on March 12, meaning he made just two appearances for The Wire after signing from Brisbane Broncos.

"All three have made great contributions to the team over the last year, whether that be on or off the field," head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith said.

"They are never easy conversations to have and I wish them all well for the future."
