IT appears Gene Ormsby may not feature with Warrington Wolves again.

Warrington Guardian understands the 23-year-old has been released from the remainder of his contract.

The winger, expected to link up with Huddersfield Giants next year after having spent time on loan at the John Smith’s Stadium this season, is thought to have a deal lined up with another Super League club for the remainder of 2016.

Ormsby is a product of the Wolves youth system, having joined the club as a 16-year-old from amateur club Oldham St Annes.

His five tries from five starts this year take his Wolves total to 29 in 42 appearances since making his first-team debut during an 18-12 defeat at Leeds Rhinos in 2013.

During his time with Warrington, he had spells on dual registration with Swinton Lions and North Wales Crusaders.
