WOLVES prop Ashton Sims has been banned for two matches for a high tackle.
The Australian appeared before the RFL’s disciplinary panel on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to the Grade B offence.
The charge related to an incident involving Catalans’ Jason Baitieri in the seventh minute of last week’s 20-18 win.
Sims, who was also fined £300, will now miss Friday’s Challenge Cup quarter-final with Widnes as well as next week’s trip to Hull Kingston Rovers.
Catalans’ Tony Gigot, who was sin-binned for a tip tackle on Wolves centre Ryan Atkins last week, had his Grade C dangerous tackle charge downgraded to Grade B and has accepted a one match ban for the offence.
