WARRINGTON Wolves supporters enjoyed the chance to meet their idols at the 13th annual fans' day, organised by Warrington Supporters Trust.

Daryl Clark, Roy Asotasi and Gary Wheeler were all at the event signing autographs and taking pictures with 200 #hardwired supporters.

The sold-out event took place in the south stand, meaning an opportunity for non-south stand fans to enjoy the heritage wall.

Wolves said these events are important in building a closer relationship with the fans.

Roy Chicken, chairman of Warrington Wolves Supporters Club, said: “This whole event is about youngsters meeting their idols.

"It’s in a place fans love, meeting players they adore and gaining memories that they will have forever."

Sophie Hilditch, aged 15, said: “The Supporters Trust are amazing for organising this, to be able to meet the players is so cool. I want to start the Roy Asotasi Appreciation Society!”

Karl Fitzpatrick, first team player welfare officer, reiterated the importance of the event.

He said: “It’s all about the fans and the community; the lads enjoy it and fully understand the importance of connecting with the fans.”

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Supporters Trust, membership starts from £5 per year.
