PLAYERS due to figure for their clubs against Warrington Wolves over the next nine days have been charged with offences committed in First Utility Super League Round 9 fixtures yesterday, Monday.

Wakefield player Nick Scruton has been charged with making a Grade B high tackle on Leeds' Andrew Yates in the 79th minute.

Any subsequent ban would put Scruton out of action against Wolves on Saturday.

And John Bateman of Wigan, who host Wolves on Thursday, April 16, along with Weller Hauraki of Salford have both been charged with Grade B striking in the 79th minute of their clubs' game.

Salford player Josh Griffin has been charged with Grade A contrary behaviour towards Anthony Gelling in the 68th minute of the same match.

Stevie Ward of Leeds Rhinos has been charged with making Grade A dangerous contact on Joe Arundel in the 34th minute of the fixture against Wakefield.

Joe Wardle of Huddersfield Giants has been charged with making a Grade B dangerous throw on Ben Cockayne in the 21st minute of the game against Hull Kingston Rovers at the KC Lightstream Stadium.

All six were charged after the incidents were viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel, which also handed down a formal caution to Wigan's Gelling for striking Josh Griffin in the 68th minute of the game against Salford.

Ward, Scruton, Wardle and Bateman have until 11.00am tomorrow to submit Early Guilty Pleas.

Griffin and Hauraki do not have the option of submitting an Early Guilty Plea and will appear before an independent disciplinary tribunal on Wednesday evening.
