WARRINGTON Wolves have reconfirmed that Lee Briers' ankle and shin injury picked up against Salford City Reds on Sunday is not serious.

Wolves' scrum half and skipper has not been sent for an x-ray.

He will follow a programme of rehabilitation for the rest of the week and head coach Paul Cullen remains confident that Briers will be available for the first game of the new season against Wigan Warriors at the JJB Stadium on February 9.
