SIMON Grix's injury woes have struck again as he prepares to face at least three months on the sidelines.

The 21-year-old will go under the knife on Monday for a second shoulder operation in six months.

Grix's latest problem occurred while making a tackle in the Boxing Day friendly against Widnes Vikings at the Halton Stadium.

A statement from the club says: "Warrington Wolves can confirm that Simon Grix will undergo a SLAP repair and decompression on Monday after it was revealed in a scan that he has torn his labrum in his shoulder during the friendly at Widnes."

Grix previously had a shoulder stabilisation operation last July after taking a bang against Hull, which ended his 2006 campaign.

The statement continues: "This is a new injury to the same shoulder and has not affected the stabilisation.

"It is expected that he will be out for a minimum of three months."
