HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OUR READERS.

Another day passes by in the countdown to another exciting date, February 3, when Warrington Wolves open the Super League season at home to Castleford Tigers.

The big game is now only 41 days away.

It was 41 years ago, in 1971, that Alex Murphy was signed by Warrington as player coach.

His arrival came on the back of Wolves finishing in their lowest ever table position - 22nd out of 30 clubs.
