WARRINGTON Wolves bounced back from last week’s setback in fine style on Friday evening.

They ran out victorious against Leeds Rhinos at Headingley as they belied the absence of several key players, particularly in the pack.

Tries late in the first half from George Williams and Joe Bullock – his first in Super League for the club – set them up for victory after Matty Nicholson had earlier cancelled out Harry Newman’s opener.

Leeds sensed a fightback when Luis Roberts touched down early in the second half, but Danny Walker wriggled over for the crucial next score to take all of the momentum away from the hosts.

In the end, Wire ran away with it as Matt Dufty and Josh Thewlis crossed for late scores.
