WARRINGTON Wolves made it three Super League wins in a row as they picked up their most notable result of the campaign to date.

Matt Dufty’s late try allowed them to edge a topsy-turvy game at Hull KR, with the full-back darting through a gap created by a well-executed scrum play for what turned out to be the winner.

Before then, The Wire had been staring down the barrel of a second loss of 2024 after Rovers turned a six-point deficit into a two-point lead with two tries either side of the hour mark.

Ryan Hall squeezed around the outside of Warrington's right edge defence before offloading back inside for Oliver Gildart to score before a looping Tyrone May pass allowed Tom Opacic to cross.

That was not the only quickfire double strike of the game, with the visitors crossing twice in quick succession just before the break to snatch the half-time advantage.

Toby King latched onto a Lachlan Fitzgibbon offload to touch down and then, on the next set after the restart, Dufty broke through the middle and kicked ahead for Connor Wrench to score.

That allowed Wire to finish the half as they had started it - strongly.

The returning George Williams was put over by Dufty to open the scoring early before Matty Ashton touched down a clever Leon Hayes kick to put the visitors 10 points ahead, but Hull KR responded strongly.

Tyrone May outjumped Dufty to claim Mikey Lewis' high kick and touch down before Hall crossed in the left corner to give his side the lead.

In the end, though, it was The Wire's night.
