WARRINGTON Wolves' academy players were victorious in the second match of their Australia tour this morning.

Having gone down narrowly to South Sydney Rabbitohs last weekend, the young Wires ran out 34-18 victors over youngsters from Wests Tigers at the Kirkham Oval just outside Sydney.

And they were once again watched by a Wire legend in Bob Jackson, who dropped in on one of their training sessions last week but was on hand to lend his support against the Tigers.

Jake Thewlis and Ewan Smith both crossed twice for The Wire, with Joe Hickey and Nolan Tupaea also touching down.

The youngsters are scheduled for an opposed training session against Canterbury Bulldogs this week before their final tour match next Saturday against New South Wales’ under 17s team.
