WARRINGTON Wolves’ first game since Daryl Powell’s departure ended in familiar fashion.
The Wire suffered their seventh consecutive defeat in all competitions, and it was another heavy one as Super League leaders Catalans Dragons rode away from The Halliwell Jones Stadium with a convincing victory.
Tries from Adam Keighran, Tom Davies and Mitchell Pearce put the French side in control before Ben Currie’s try on the stroke of half time kept the home side in touch.
However, it proved a false dawn as Matt Whitley and Matt Ikuvalu finished Warrington off, rendering Josh Thewlis' late effort a mere consolation.
