NEW Warrington Wolves signing Ben Murdoch-Masila was a try scorer for Tonga in the best game of Rugby League World Cup 2017 so far.
His powerful effort 59 minutes into the Pool B win against Samoa at a packed, noisy and colourful Waikato Stadium in Hamilton, New Zealand, handed his country a 26-6 lead.
Samoa fought back to cut the deficit to 26-18 but Manu Ma’u sealed the success with a converted try five minutes from time.
Murdoch-Masila, who joins The Wire from Salford Red Devils for 2018, operated in the back row off the bench as he did the previous week in Tonga's 50-4 success over Scotland in Cairns, Australia.
Murdoch-Masila with that POWER 💪
