RYAN Jones was the hat-trick hero for Wolves’ under 19s as they passed the 50-point barrier for the second game in succession.

The winger’s treble came within 20 first-half minutes, with Ellis Robson and Jack Roper also scoring before the break.

Roper doubled his tally during a second half in which Sam Storey also crossed twice, with Jamie Abram, Tom Pinder, Joe Edge and Will Dagger completing the rout.

Wolves head coach Stuart Barrow made several changes to his side after their previous convincing win over Leeds Rhinos and says the manner of the victory speaks volumes about the squad at his disposal.

“It was nice to back up our win last week with another good victory,” he said.

“We took the opportunity to give a few players who have been training hard and not had much game time a run.

“They have done really well, which shows the depth that we have in the squad.”

Barrow’s men are on the road on Saturday as they take on City of Hull Academy, kick off noon.
