WOLVES boss Tony Smith has made one change to his squad for Thursday’s clash with Wigan Warriors.

Joe Philbin returns to the 19-man party in place of Dom Crosby, who missed Saturday’s game at Salford when his girlfriend went into labour.

Matty Russell was another late withdrawal from the trip to the AJ Bell Stadium with a back spasm but has recovered sufficiently to keep his place in the squad to face his former side.

Opponents Wigan have been forced into a number of changes as injuries have left their squad looking threadbare.

Youngsters Jack Wells, Liam Forsyth and Tom Davies could all make their senior debuts after Joe Burgess and Lewis Tierney both suffered injuries in Friday’s win over Leigh to leave them without a senior winger, with Dom Manfredi also sidelined.

Wolves squad: Ryan Atkins, Matty Blythe, Kevin Brown, Daryl Clark, Mike Cooper, Brad Dwyer, Rhys Evans, Kurt Gidley, Jack Hughes, Jack Johnson, Tom Lineham, Harvey Livett, Dec Patton, Joe Philbin, Matty Russell, Andre Savelio, Ashton Sims, Joe Westerman, Ben Westwood.
